★ หอสักการะพญามังราย ปฐมกษัตริย์ล้านนาผู้ทรงสร้างเวียงเชียงใหม่ ณ มุมสี่แยกกลางเวียง — พงศาวดารว่าพระองค์เสด็จสวรรคตด้วยอสนีบาตขณะเสด็จกาดกลางเวียงตรงนี้ (ราว พ.ศ. 1854–1860 ตามแต่ฉบับ) ชาวเมืองจึงตั้งหอไว้กราบไหว้รำลึกพระคุณสืบมา · Shrine honouring King Mangrai, founder of Chiang Mai and first king of Lan Na, at the Klang Wiang crossroads. The chronicles tell that here, visiting the old central market, he was struck by lightning and passed from this world (ca. 1311–1317 CE, depending on the chronicle); townspeople have paid their respects at this corner ever since.
