★ พญามังรายทรงเชิญพระสหายร่วมน้ำสาบานสองพระองค์ — พญางำเมืองแห่งพะเยา และพ่อขุนรามคำแหงแห่งสุโขทัย — มาร่วมกันวางผังสร้างเวียงเชียงใหม่เมื่อ พ.ศ. 1839 สามกษัตริย์จึงประทับยืนคู่กันกลางข่วง เป็นหัวใจพิธีของเมืองที่ชาวเชียงใหม่มากราบไหว้สืบมา · King Mangrai called on his two sworn friends — Ngam Mueang of Phayao and Ram Khamhaeng of Sukhothai — to help him lay out his new city in 1296. The three kings stand together at the ceremonial heart of Chiang Mai, and offerings are made here still.
